Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of Tikrit University, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Ramadan Ahmed, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sayyaf Abdul Hussein, Director of the Continuing Education Center, the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific workshop entitled:
(GFRP and Steel: A Comparison in Reinforcement Techniques) on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in the discussion hall of the Civil Engineering Department.
The workshop aimed to highlight the latest scientific trends in concrete reinforcement techniques by comparing the use of glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) and traditional steel, and demonstrating the differences in performance, cost, load-bearing capacity, and service life of structures.
