In the presence of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Ramadan Ahmed, the doctoral dissertation of student Suwar Imad Hasib, Department of Civil Engineering, entitled "Effect of Tendom Profile Layout on Flexural and Shear Strength of Post-Tensioning Bridge Grid," was discussed on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
Abstract: This research highlights the effect of tenon profile layout on the flexural and shear strength of post-tensioned prestressed concrete beams. The aim of this research is to present a practical (experimental), numerical, and theoretical study of the effect of tenon profile layout on flexural and shear strength. The experimental results obtained from laboratory tests showed a significant increase in flexural and shear strength.
In the numerical part of this study, good agreement was obtained between the numerical and experimental results.
