The College of Engineering at Tikrit University achieved a distinguished scientific accomplishment by winning first place in the Three Minute Thesis Competition, held on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research were present, along with university representatives from both the scientific and humanities tracks.
PhD student Marwa Talal Jassim from the Civil Engineering Department excelled with her innovative scientific presentation and her exceptional presentation and persuasive style, impressing the judging panel and deservedly winning the competition. She outperformed all participants, including the university representative from the humanities disciplines.
This victory is a culmination of the efforts of the College of Engineering, led by its Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Ramadan Ahmed, in supporting and encouraging its students to participate in prestigious scientific events that showcase their research capabilities and academic skills. It also reflects the college's commitment to enhancing Tikrit University's standing in national and international forums.
At the conclusion of the competitions, the university presidency extended its warmest congratulations to the College of Engineering and its students, wishing the university's representatives continued success in the next stage of the competition, which will be held at the level of Iraqi universities at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, affirming its continued support for the scientific research and innovation process.
