Chaired by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Ramadan Ahmed, the College of Engineering Council held its regular meeting today, Sunday, August 24, 2025, in the presence of the Vice Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs and all heads of academic departments.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean welcomed the heads of the newly established departments of Sustainable Energy Engineering and Dams and Water Resources Engineering, outlining the college's vision and objectives in this field. He emphasized the college's commitment to developing its academic infrastructure to meet the demands of the job market and the plans of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The main points discussed at the meeting were:
1. Welcoming the heads of the newly established departments within the college.
2. Reviewing the college's vision and objectives regarding the establishment of the new departments, and discussing the vision, mission, and objectives of the newly established departments, as well as the educational objectives of the Bachelor's degree programs in each.
3. Voting on the logo for the new academic departments.
4. Discussing the mechanisms and future work plans for the newly established departments.
5. Emphasizing adherence to the ministerial directives approved by the University Council.
6. Preparations for conducting the second-round examinations for postgraduate and undergraduate studies.
7. Completion of the requirements for postgraduate students/research phase (scientific discussions and certificate issuance orders).
