In a serious effort to enhance Tikrit University's standing on the international academic stage, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, the university president, led a high-level official delegation to Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom to sign a significant cooperation agreement. This agreement reflects the university's commitment to excellence and openness to leading global experiences.
The College of Engineering was represented in this delegation by Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Ramadan Ahmed, Dean of the College, and his accompanying team.
Attendees emphasized that the College of Engineering is strongly committed to establishing strategic partnerships with prestigious international universities, based on its vision of developing engineering education and scientific research to keep pace with the latest advancements and meet the requirements of sustainable development.
The visit witnessed the signing of the official agreement, which encompassed broad prospects for cooperation in the fields of education, academic exchange, and joint scientific research. Fruitful discussion sessions were also held, addressing the practical mechanisms for implementing the agreement and exploring global best practices in engineering education. The delegation also toured Nottingham Trent University's facilities, accompanied by senior officials and academic leaders from the British university.
The President of Tikrit University affirmed that this step represents a qualitative leap in the university’s journey towards globalization, while the Dean of the College of Engineering stressed that the college attaches paramount importance to international cooperation as a fundamental lever for developing curricula and research programs and refining the skills of its students and staff in line with the highest international standards.
